It was just about a year ago that we got word concerning a dog you had up for adoption. I drove from New Port Richey
to see Zack, and what I found was this adorable black & white Shih\Tzu, 3 years old,
but with some behavioral problems. Turns out that Zack had acute
separation anxiety, and those who owned him before kept him in a cage all day.
I’d have some terrible problems too if I was forced to live like that.
Needless to say, it took us about two months to fully house train Zack,
and
give him the trust that he so badly required. Now that a year has
passed,
he’s the best little guy you could ever imagine. As the attached
pictures
show, Zack, like his big sister Joy, is fully coated. They both get
along terrifically, play together every day wrestling & running all over
the
house.
Both get brushed daily and bathed weekly. Every time I walk
them
at the nearby lake or river, they turn heads and have made many friends on
our walks, animal & human. Zack distributes toys all over the house, and
sometimes when he gets “happy feet” he runs and runs full tilt until he
poops out. Zack is the best “fetcher” ever. He will run & fetch toys
for
an hour if you can last that long.
Thank You from the bottom of our
hearts for saving this wonderful pet just for us. Our life is full of
smiles
and outright laughter every day thanks to Zack. And Joy, our Lhasa
Apso, has a brother to play with that keeps her in better shape too.
I’ll try
to put these pics in chronological order, starting with the first day he
got his forever home, to just a week ago or so. (only 6 pics) Again,
thank you so much for all the wonderful rescues you’ve made down through
the
years… especially last February when we found Zack…and he found us.
