We adopted Biscuit from C.A.R.E in April 2009 when he was 2 months old. We went to the shelter to look at a different set of pups, but once we met Biscuit, we fell in love!
He is such an amazing addition to our family.
My children (Justice 9 and Arianna 5) call him their brother and are always helping to feed him, walk him, and play with him. He is very laid back and so wonderful with them!
He loves running with Justice and cuddling with Anna. And I just adore him! I work from home, so he spends most of his time with me and quietly plays or lies next to my desk.
His "one ear up, one ear down" is one of the cutest things about him! He is very smart and is learning his "manners" very quickly. He is potty trained, knows to sit and wait,
and is learning to come when we blow a whistle. (We have all started watching a LOT of dog training shows!! haha). He absolutely LOVES other dogs, so once he completed his
shots and neutering, we have spent a lot of time at the dog park socializing him... (he loves them so much, he doesn't stop licking them!) We have so many new family things
that we do together as a result of adding him to our family!
When we decided it was the right time to get a dog, we wanted to make sure we got the right dog for our family. A friend told me about Petfinder.com to find rescue dogs and
that's how we found C.A.R.E. Well, we adopted Biscuit and we have NO IDEA what breeds he has in him, but we could not imagine a more wonderful dog! C.A.R.E was so great
about letting us spend a lot of time in the yard with him and then with his mom and siblings to make sure he was a great fit! We wish we could have also brought his mom
home because she was such a sweet girl and I hope she finds a wonderful family!
He gets bigger and cuter every day and we are just so thankful to all the staff and volunteers at C.A.R.E for loving and caring for our newest family member until we met him!!
Hopefully, we'll be back in a couple of years to bring a new brother or sister home for Biscuit!
